It looks like lament crashes the compiler.   What compiler is this?
Uhhh... compilers shouldn't crash.  :)
Can not fix that one without a lot of trial and error to see what is
going on.
You could try building without lament.c (I admit its a pretty one though).
Edit xlock/mode.h ... take out the line
#define MODE_lament
and recompile.
