This package installs just the data files, not the engine, for Epic's
popular first-person shooter game, Unreal Tournament 2004.

Epic privately shared the engine sources with the community OldUnreal
team, who now maintain it and publish modern builds. Epic also, somewhat
informally, gave permission for OldUnreal to host a DVD ISO of the game
for the community to download and play for free.

This was announced by OldUnreal on Reddit here:
		https://www.reddit.com/r/unrealtournament/comments/1pdbcc3/oldunreal_takes_over_maintenance_of_unreal

Epic had already confirmed their permission to do this with their
earlier Unreal titles to GamingOnLinux here:
		https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/11/classic-unreal-tournament-and-unreal-now-easier-to-download-free-thanks-to-oldunreal/

"We can confirm that Unreal 1 and Unreal Tournament are available on
archive.org and people are free to independently link to and play
			these versions."

Epic's web page for Unreal Tournament links to OldUnreal for downloads:
		https://www.epicgames.com/unrealtournament

By default, this package will fetch that ISO from OldUnreal. It lacks
the French, German, Italian, and Spanish sound files, as well as the
wider French, Italian, and Korean text files, included in other physical
editions. If you have these files and wish to use them or otherwise do
not want to use OldUnreal's ISO, you also have the option to install
from CD, DVD, or GOG instead. Note that the game can no longer be
purchased from GOG or anywhere else. Epic even removed it from their own
		store.

If the CD or DVD you are installing from lacks the Mega Pack content
that is included in other editions, you must enable the megapack USE
		flag to download it.
